Privacy Policy

Status: 2026-04-26 · Phase 0

This policy is expanded as new features (wiki, uploads, comments, Matrix embed) come online. What isn't described here isn't being collected.

The legally binding version is the Datenschutzerklärung in German. This page is provided for the convenience of the international community.

1. Data controller

The data controller (in the GDPR sense) is the operator of this site.
Contact: contact@kaamo.club

2. Hosting and server logs

The site runs on self-hosted hardware in Germany. Cloudflare sits in front as a reverse proxy and CDN.

Cloudflare (data processor)

When you load the site, Cloudflare processes connection data — IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamp — to deliver the connection, defend against attacks, and provide caching.

  • Provider: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA
  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in stable, secure operation)
  • Privacy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

Own server

The server keeps the following in its logs short-term:

  • shortened IP address (last octet anonymized)
  • requested URL and HTTP status
  • user agent
  • timestamp

Retention: at most 14 days, then automatic deletion. No combining with other data sources. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. Cookies and local storage

Currently no cookies and no local storage are set. Should future features need them (e.g. soundtrack player settings), this section will be updated and consent obtained where required.

4. External links

The site links out to Discord, Reddit, and wiki.gg. Simply displaying these links does not transmit data to those services. Once you click, you're redirected and their privacy policies apply from that point on.

5. Fonts

The fonts Xirod, Aldrich, and Rajdhani are served locally from our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or any other font CDN.

6. Analytics, tracking, advertising

No tracking, no analytics software (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Matomo) and no advertising.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • access (Art. 15)
  • rectification (Art. 16)
  • erasure (Art. 17)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • data portability (Art. 20)
  • objection (Art. 21)
  • complaint to a supervisory authority (Art. 77) — in Germany, the data protection authority of your federal state

Send requests informally to the email address above.

8. Changes

This policy is updated whenever data processing changes (new features, new processors, etc.). The date at the top reflects the current version.
